Quote approval
Quotes are vaild for 30 days. Projects will commence once a quote is formally approved by signing and returning via email or post.
Deposits
Studiobox may request a deposit to be paid prior to commencing a project in order to retain the services of an external supplier such as: printers, photographers, copy writers, sign makers, illustrators etc. Requested deposits will be indicated on specific quotes if they are required.
Change requests
Change requests or ‘authors corrections’ are any changes or additions to design, layout and content that vary from the original brief thereby requiring extra time. This extra time will be charged as an additional cost at our hourly rate. The client will be consulted and made aware of any additional costs if they arise.
Royalty free images
Royalty free images purchased by Studiobox for inclusion into a client project will be charged at a rate specified on the quote, and added to the clients final invoice. By law, Studiobox retains copyright of these images and allows their use only for that particular project.
Courier and postage expenses
Any courier and postage expenses relating to a specific project will be added to the client’s final invoice.
Early termination
If a project is terminated at an early stage for whatever reason, the client will be invoiced for work already completed, and payment will be due 14 days from invoice date.
Production management fees
Production costs and expenses purchased by Studiobox on behalf of the client may include a 20 per cent project management fee.
Finished artwork
Finished artwork is created once design concepts have been approved, either by signing a printed proof or as a written statement in an email relating to a project. Studiobox is not responsible for any errors in design concepts approved by the client for creation of finished artwork, except if they had been clearly indicated to us to be rectified. Studiobox has proccesses in place to check for content and artwork reproduction errors, but ultimately it is the clients responsibility to check and approve all proofs.
Payment terms
Payment is due 14 days from invoice date, unless alternate arrangements have been negotiated. Progressive invoices may be issued for projects that exceed 30 days. These invoices will be for work completed to date, and are payable 14 days from invoice date.
Copyright of graphic design material
By default, Studiobox retains copyright over all graphic design materials produced. On payment of final invoice, Studiobox grants a limited copyright license to the client for use pertaining to the specific project for which the graphic design materials were produced. Studiobox will supply finished artwork files to the client on completion of a project, excluding any fonts, purchased images and working files (which by law must be purchased by the client).
Copyright of logo and trade mark
By default, Studiobox owns copyright over any logo or trade mark design concept and development materials, until completion of that specific project and payment of final invoice. Once payment is finalised, Studiobox automatically assigns full copyright of the logo or trade mark to the client. Studiobox will supply finished artwork files to the client on completion of a project, excluding any fonts, purchased images and working files (which by law must be purchased by the client). Studiobox is not responsible for any trade mark or registration declined by IP Australia for whatever reason, and recommends that the client employ a trade mark attorney for assistance if required. Studiobox can consult a trade mark attorney on behalf of the client if requested, at an extra expense.
Archiving
All work produced by Studiobox is archived on behalf of the client after project completion.
Confidentiality
Studiobox will not, either during the course of the project or after completion, except in the course of their duties, divulge any of the confidential affairs of the client.
Studiobox marketing
Studiobox may use any project working files or finished artwork for our own marketing and promotional purposes.
